Ecoedge changes focus

18 September, 2014 by Debbie Brace

After the successful merger in May 2013 of Ecoedge and Ekologica Pty Ltd, the company established in 2007 by Russell Smith, we have evolved quickly and we are excited to announce that the time is now right for Ecoedge to take a new direction; effective from today, we will solely be providing botanical survey and associated services.

Our botanical survey team consists of Russell Smith (Senior Botanist), Mel Strang (Botanist and Project Manager), Bree Brown (Project Manager and field assistance) and Tiffany Bennett (Botanist/Zoologist). We also work closely with a team of excellent associate botanists on an as-needs basis.

We will provide:

  • Floristic survey and analysis and in accordance with EPA Guidance Statement 51 (including Level 1 and Level 2 surveys)
  • Survey and identification of Threatened Ecological Communities and Priority Ecological Communities
  • Targeted rare, priority and conservation significant flora surveys
  • Baseline flora and vegetation surveys
  • Vegetation unit mapping and characterisation
  • Weed surveys

and

  • Liaison with Government Agencies and Departments
  • Referrals under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act
  • Assistance with the preparation of Native Vegetation Clearing Permit applications
  • Rare flora management

Our extensive expertise and experience in this field allows us to provide a specialist service to existing and new clients, and we look forward to continuing to assist our clients to find realistic and relevant solutions for their projects. For more information on the change and on our services and for a list of recent projects, please visit our ‘What we Offer‘ and ‘Botanical Survey and Analysis‘ pages, and please contact us to see how we can assist you with your project.
