A dedicated page for pictures we’ve taken of flowers from the Cape to Cape region of Western Australia. Note, all photos have been taken by Melanie Strang unless otherwise stated. Please feel free to copy them if they take your fancy – nature is there for us all to enjoy for free, after all.
The following first series was taken on September 21, 2011, between Rainbow Cave Road and the Cape to Cape track in the Leeuwin Naturalist National Park, near Prevelly.
Of course, there were some non-flower things to see too… though admittedly I only noticed a few!
Finally, I’ve the time to update the collection with this, the second series, taken on a walk between the three Caves in the Cape to Cape region in early October. Enjoy!
The following third series was taken in mid October 2011 in the Wilyabrup area, with one exception – the Carbunup King Spider Orchid, which was taken in Carbunup.
Pimelea ferruginea in flower. Now that’s what I call mass planting! Of course, it hasn’t been planted – nature knows best, as always.
